Server evictions and other legal documents, uncluding but limited to
subpoenas, summons and band Council Resolutions
Provide security and crowd control as needed
Enforce laws, by-laws, regulations, rules and appropriate behaviours as assigned,
and take appropriate enforcement and mediation or other corrections as required.
Perform and assist in search and rescue functions.
Collect, secure and preserve evidence in accordance with procedures outlined in the
Police Orders, Criminal Code Of Canada, other provincial and federal statutes,
and other investigative manual and practices.
Complete occurance and supplementry reports in a clear, logical and accurate manner
using proper framing and spelling and terminology.
Direct traffic in emergency situations.
Complete on a timely basis, all other required reports related to investigations, traffic reports
CPIC and other law enforcement forms as per prescribed standards.
Serve as a witness and appear and testify in court as required.
Work with the community in developement of crime prevention,
recreation and community wellness programs to enhance community safety.
Maintain a positive rapport and good working relationships with safety officer department
police agencies and community groups, justice partners , but not limited to courts,
crown attorneys and department employees of Tataskweyak Cree Nation.
Travel and work outside the community as required.
Other duties as assigned
Grade 10 education.
Valid Class 4 or greater Manitoba drivers Licence
First Aid/CPR training an asset.
Must be in good physical condition.
Ability to promote and foster community peace and order.
Ability to follow issued orders, instructions and approaches to problems.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including the ability
to listen , use tact as well as the ability to negotiate and make presentations.
Demonstrate effective descision making skills.
Ability to multi-task in a high stress and time driven environment.
Must be willing to work in a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Must be able to take and complete various training.
Clear current criminal record, vulnerable sectors and abuse registry checks.
Formal training in security and/or criminology or dispute resolution an asset.
